Desus and Mero are over

The duo Desus Nice and The Kid Mero, who created one of the decade's premier comedy brands with their Bodega Boys podcast and Showtime show of the same name, are well and truly done.

Desus and Mero, also known as Daniel Baker and Joel Martinez, are actually probably the most podcasted Hollywood crossovers in the industry.

After a break from podcasting on Desus vs. With a podcast on Complex TV and Bodega Boys, the couple had a show on Viceland from 2016 to 2018 before landing a late-night Showtime series.

“desus satisfactory and the kid mero will be pursuing separate creative endeavors moving forward,” showtime said in a assertion monday evening.

"Late night talk show Desus & Mero is not returning for a fifth season. The final episode will air on Thursday, June 23rd."

Showtime's confirmation came after days of speculation about his condition. The TV series was only 15 episodes into its run into the dark (previous episodes had over 50 episodes).
