Emilia Clarke says parts of her brain are ‘missing’ after aneurysms

Emilia Clarke said she was in "the worst pain" after suffering two brain aneurysms, but was grateful for her recovery and for working on "Game of Thrones" at the time.

"It really helped that 'Game of Thrones' swept me and gave me that goal," he told BBC's 'Sunday Morning'.

The actress suffered life-threatening aneurysms in 2011 and 2013, and said that if the subject is now sitting in her brain, "it's missing a little bit."

"Basically a stroke, if every part of your brain can't get a second of blood, it's gone," Clarke said. "Blood therefore seeks another way to perish.

She also said his brain stopped working: “It's great to be able to speak, sometimes articulate and live my life completely normally without being perfect.

Clarke, who played Daenerys Targaryen in the hit HBO series, is currently starring in "The Seagull" in London's West End.

"It really helped that 'Game of Thrones' was hovering over me and gave me that goal," he told the BBC.
