In 1999, Eminem released his debut album, "The Slim Shady LP", which went triple platinum. Produced by Dr. Dre, introduced the rapper's alter ego Slim Shady

With four successful albums, Eminem took a hiatus from recording solo material between 2004 and 2009. The rapper dealt with substance abuse and spent time in rehab this time.
