Keanu Reeves is set to return in Constantine 2, the sequel to the 2005 superhero film directed by Francis Lawrence.
As noted by The Hollywood Reporter, Lawrence is also returning for the sequel, while Akiva Goldsman will write the script.
The first Constantine movie was written by Kevin Brodbin and Frank Cappello.
Based on DC's Hellblazer comics, Constantine Reeves stars as John Constantine, an exorcist who travels between Earth and Hell in his dealings with half-angels and half-demons.
In fact, his character is more of an anti-hero than a superhero, as he is somewhat cynical about his abilities.
The release of Constantine 2 is another sign of Warner Bros. Discovery is more for superhero movies than TV shows. J.J. Abrams is making a Constantine series for HBO Max,
but will no longer be released on the platform. The series could find a home elsewhere, but for now Abrams is listed as producing the sequel, as is Goldsman.
Reeves is in full DC Superhero mode these days, having recently voiced Batman in the DC animated film League of Super-Pets.
He will then return as John Wick in John Wick 4, which is next March. Check out our ranking of Reeves' 10 most iconic roles here.
