Murphy played early 20th-century gangster Thomas Shelby in the BBC crime drama. Peaky Blinders was released in six seasons from 2013 to 2022.

Despite the shocking success of the series, Murphy shared his feelings from last season and revealed how he still understood that the series was over.
The actor also said that working on the series led to the development of good relationships with his colleagues and the people working on the show.
