Rangers Eliminated From Playoffs

The New York Rangers were eliminated from the Stanley Cup playoffs by Tampou Bay Lightning on Saturday when they lost 2: 1 in the 6th final of the Best-of-7 Eastern Conference at Amalie Arena.

The Rangers won Matches 1 and 2 against Lightning, but lost four consecutive matches for the first time in a season.

They are the second in the Metropolitan Division after the basic part with 52 wins and 110 points.

New York advanced to the conference finals by returning from a 3: 1 draw against the Pittsburgh Penguins in the first round and a 3: 2 draw against the Carolina Hurricanes in the second round.

It was the first time the Rangers had sat in the playoffs with a series of best-of-7 since the second round in 2017, losing six games to the Ottawa Senators.

New York swept 3-0 in the best-of-5 series against Carolina in the Stanley Cup 2020 qualifiers.
