Steve Burton Spills On PC Exit And New Role On DOOL

General Hospital (GH) spoilers have revealed that back then fans were devastated when Steve Burton left his role on the hit ABC soap General Hospital last year.

The divorce was controversial, as the actor himself shared that the show "let me go because of the fax mandate." ABC is owned by Disney with a Covid-19 fax mandate.

Another GH star, Ingo Rademacher (Jasper Jacks), broke up with the sudser for the same reason, both actors choosing not to get vaccinated.

Burton soon found his feet and soon appeared in Peacock's Days of Our Lives spin-off, Days of Our Lives: Beyond Salem.

Burton made his NBC soap debut in 1988 and picked up where he left off, reprising his role as Harris Michaels.

The actor said: "Look, it's a difficult situation and you know, that's it. I'll always be grateful for my time there," he said of the Port Charles, New York-based soap.

"It's been my family for a long time. I grew up there and the fans have always been nice to me. But then some doors close and some doors open and here we are in 'Beyond Salem.' Wow."

Does Burton regret refusing to be vaccinated and getting fired from GH? No. The actor explained, "This is my belief and I stand by it and I know it can be."
