In addition to Chris reprising his iconic role as the former king of Asgard, Bale made his MCU debut as Gorr the God Butcher, which was one of the main reasons why fans are so excited to see the film.
As expected, fans loved Bale's debut and praised his performance. Overall, however, the film received mixed reviews.
Despite mixed word of mouth, Thor: Love And Thunder has done very well at the box office, and we're not surprised considering Marvel's film records.
The film collected $143 million in its opening week in the US and Canada, i.e. the domestic market (including Thursday night previews).
