Top Gun 3: Miles Teller Gives Promising Update on Tom Cruise Sequel
Actor Miles Teller gives a nice update on the status of a potential Top Gun 3 after the many successes of Top Gun: Maverick.
Tom Cruise returns to star as Lt. Pete "Maverick" Mitchell in Top Gun: Maverick, a sequel 36 years in the making, became a box office juggernaut.
Counter play Lt. Bradley "Rooster" Bradshaw in the film, the son of former Maverick pilot Nick "Goose" Bradshaw (played by Anthony Edwards), who is murdered in the first Top Gun.
Top Gun: Maverick became a record-breaking success after several release delays due to the pandemic.
The film is now the highest-grossing Tom Cruise film of all time and the highest-grossing film of 2022 so far, beating Marvel and DC comic book blockbusters.
Of course, that kind of success led to a series of interviews that continued even though Top Gun: Maverick itself took decades to complete.
Although it took decades for a Top Gun sequel to emerge, Hollywood will no doubt be thrilled to see something else happen sooner rather than later, especially with Top Gun: Maverick now grossing over $1 billion.
Even though Maverick is no longer in the Navy, there's still a lot of story left for me, especially since Teller and the other young actors made a good impression that's worth their return.
