‘Yellowstone’ actor charged with disability payment fraud

Kilcher, 32, of North Hollywood, was charged with two counts of workers' compensation insurance fraud, according to a statement from the California Department of Insurance.

Kilcher starred as Angela Blue Thunder in 2020 for four seasons on the Paramount Network Western, starring Kevin Costner.

She also portrayed Pocahontas in the 2005 film "The New World" and 2019's "Dora and the Lost City of Gold."

While working for "Dora" in October 2018, Kilcher allegedly injured his neck and right shoulder, the insurance department said.

A year later, Kilcher told the doctor who was responsible for filing insurance claims that he had been offered the job, but didn't get it because of severe neck pain from the injury.

Kilcher received $96,838 in temporary disability benefits. However, an investigation later revealed that Kilcher is currently working in "Yellowstone" for several months in 2019.

"According to the records, he returned to the doctor and began receiving five days of disability pension after he last worked on the show," the statement said.

His attorney, Michael Becker, said in a statement that Kilcher was a passenger in the stock car when he was injured.
